AMD is officially presented the fastest processor in the Phenom II line, the model Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition. Unlike the previous model 940 BE, 955 is intended for socket AM3 and DDR3 memory, but because integrated DDR2 controller installation is possible also on older AM2 + boards.
Lite-On in Europe has introduced an internal Blu-ray drive iHES208. The device connects to the computer via SATA interface and besides reading Blu-ray media can write data to a DVD or CD media.
