As DigiTimes writes, Foxconn will become the manufacturer of e-book reader. The company is a manufacturer Amazon Kindle 2, but according to recent allegations on the market, they could jump with its own model. Corsair introduced new SSD S256, successor of model S128. Except twice larger capacity of its predecessor, a new model is considerably faster (more then twice).
They still use Samsung MLC NAND flash memory, but the advanced controller and 64 MB cache are responsible for the benefits that the new model brings. (more…)
Acer is the first among major PC manufacturers which officially presented a model based on the Nvidia platform Ion. That computer is a nettop called AspireRevo which in very small dimensions provides enough power to become home multimedia center and an excellent HTPC computer. Nvidia GeForce 9400M integrated graphics provides a moderate play, while an HDMI output offers the possibility of connection to HD screens. (more…)
The first generation of Atom processor was introduced a year ago. One year after presenting the first-generation of Atom processor, Intel on the IDF in Beijing has officially announced two new models for MID devices. These are Atom processors Z515 and Z550 which has already been speaking.
Atom Z515 runs on 1.2 GHz on Intel Technology Burst Performance Technology to effectively adjust clock depending on load and greater energy saving.
Atom Z550 is the fastest chip in this line with the 2 GHz. Both processors have a TDP less than 3 W (2.4 W under load, and 0.22 W with no load), and owns 512 KB L2 cache and 533-MHz FSB. (more…)
In the beginning of the April Intel introduced redesagned logos for the label of its processors and also a new way of marking performance.
New design of the logo is in the form of the rectangle, which in the upper right corner has a picture of the silicon chip, while thru the full-length is printed name of the processor and an obligatory word “inside”.
For performance marking, Intel to its customers offer extremely streamlined selection of future computer ranking - according to the number of star. (more…)
