Lite-On in Europe has introduced an internal Blu-ray drive iHES208. The device connects to the computer via SATA interface and besides reading Blu-ray media can write data to a DVD or CD media.
Reading speed from Blu-ray discs is 8x. Maximum possible speed for writing to DVD or CD media is 48x. It is supported with LightScribe technology and the capacity of build-in buffer is 2MB.
On the European market Lite-On iHES208 Blu-ray device comes to the end of this month by recommended sale price of 170 euros
