AMD is officially presented the fastest processor in the Phenom II line, the model Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition. Unlike the previous model 940 BE, 955 is intended for socket AM3 and DDR3 memory, but because integrated DDR2 controller installation is possible also on older AM2 + boards.

According to unofficial sources, AMD in coming years prepare for an interesting solution for notebooks. On the pages of Expreview recently was published AMD company roadmap where AMD this year, as part of mobile platform Tigris, plan to integrate 45-nanometer CPU named Caspian.
